Did you miss the Maine TweetUp? Well, here's a taste of some the conversations we had tonight.

Tonight was the monthly Maine TweetUp in Portland Maine, and I thought it would be fun to talk to a few folks and make a podcast out of it. So I did! I spoke with people I just met, like Kristi Trimmer (@dragonflytweet), and some I've known for several years, like Chrystie Vachon (@ilovetogossip/@ccMaine) and GriffinClubMerv (@GriffinClubMerv). To keep things simple, I asked everyone the same 5 questions. To top it off, I asked Greg Daly how we should make the world a better place, and he gave us a call to action.

For today's lounge, I was fortunate enough to sit down with entrepreneur Ry Russell and talk about how he (and his crew) saved the Saco Drive-In, how he learned how to start a business (by doing it), and what we should do to make the world a better place. Ry tells us how Google can make you a Marketing Genius, and about his hands on, get dirty philosophy of getting things done. He urges everyone to mentor kids. And he answers 10 questions.

Ry Russell

Ry Russell is an Entrepreneur and Social Media Expert. Ry's most commonly known for his operations of the Saco Drive-In, a small drive-in movie theater in Southern Maine. Ry speaks on the concepts of Social Media Marketing and also Entrepreneurship for young students. Ry has a diverse portfolio of work in entertainment, retail, and marketing.

It’s No Judgment, Scream Closet, Tattoo Maven Time! Join me as I revisit three conversations with fantastic, kick-ass women: Sydney Mackey Haggerty, Angela Shelton, and Idamae Peacock. These are all conversations I think of from time to time even now, and thought it would be great to share some highlights! Syndey talks about failure being a success, not judging yourself and using her cheerleading skills in everyday life. Angela talks about expressing anger and getting oneself a scream closet. And Idamae, well, that runs the gamut, joking about being best friends, a hilarious interruption, and Ida spills the beans about being a Tattoo artist. So strap on your seatbelts, people! It's time to be inspired.

Sydney lounged with LannaLee in LLL070 Sydney Mackey Haggerty: Breathe Deep in the Belly

Angela lounged with LannaLee in LLL067 @AngelaShelton: Healing with my Sword

Idamae lounged with LannaLee in LLL063 Idamae Peacock/ida mishaan: Love and Loss and Life and Death

In a swanky hotel, Billy and Lanna talk about slam poetry, being true to yourself, the fun of competition, and how to make the world a better place. Lanna struggles to make her point. Billy talks about his start in performance poetry via Hip Hop and Graffiti, Slam Bingo Topics, and why he usually doesn't go political in his poetry. Billy gives a call to action! And he answers 10 questions.
